I do. Sorta. Things happened to me when my world was reset for the first time. I feel through infinity, cut and stabbed with shards of time.

I definitely came out a different person. And then the world reset again and now my very being is being stripped away and eaten slowly.

I...wish you could talk to MK about that. Not for him, but because I think he'd understand since he was the one resetting his world. At least on some level.

But if you can and want to talk about it to someone, I'm usually around.

[Cole isn't offended, or surprised by Max's observation. He's not even sure it he surprised by how long it took him to actually react to it or not.]

I just am. I can't do anything to deal with it, and it's been so long I've almost gotten used to it.

[He hops up and motions for Cole to get up.]

Every room. Open every door and every window in the house. Come on. We're airing this shit out.

[Cole blinks, but stands]

There aren't many at least.

[He leads the way through the house, making sure that no windows are missed since there are predictably more.

It doubles as a small tour for Max though.]

[Max follows and takes in everything. Each room and the state of it, and the feelings inside and how concentrated they are. Once everything is open, he stretches out his arms. He spends his glamour. Wind rushes through the house, pushing out the clouds of emotions and replacing it with fresh air and the scent of spring.]

I can teach you this contract. The humans in Germany have a similar tradition there. You open up every window quickly and shut them an hour later to air out the bad emotions and cleanse the house.

That...would be really helpful, actually. Maybe it will help things not be...where it just was.

[He looks up at Max thoughtfully.]

I wanted to talk about linking our houses. If we each get a room add on for our houses, we could link those rooms together into one room with my powers. Then with hedgegates in those doors, we basically connect our houses and live together without moving anything.

That's not what I was expecting you to bring up? What gave you this idea? Not that it's a problem or I'm against it.

It's two fold. One, I think it would be good for the three of us from this our world. Dad can come over but living here is a stretch for the rules.

Two, to keep an eye on you. In a friendly kind of way. Also so you can always just knock and have some people close you can trust if needed.

And three, just seems like a good idea.

Oh...that makes sense. I don't have a problem with it, and I have a few of those house expansion tickets so making a space to connect shouldn't be hard.

Then we can get to work as we have some too, Esme and I. So it'll be easy to get it all set up. Then you and I set up the hedge gates and we're good.

We can have it up and running in the week.

I can't argue against those reasons. Alright then. We can figure out those details later. When I have the mental energy to be more than relieved.

[Cole goes quiet to think as he moves to help Max with spending the Glamour. Thankfully there's no Hedge to make things unsafe to do this. Just one door to another.

He thinks about Max, everything he knows, including that one glimpse of him before the Titles. It doesn't take long to have an answer.]

I figured you were more dark fantasy. I could have said musicals but those can be any genre. Like music in general.

Fair enough guess, honestly. I do like dark fantasy. A lot. Musicals too but like you said. They expand beyond one genre.

Give me Sleepy Hollow really. Or like The Haunting of Hill House. But I thought Saw might be more your speed so I went there. Was I wrong?
